Mark began in the financial services industry in 2006, working part time in Sault Ste. Marie at a Credit Union, prior to his graduation. Since this time he has steadily climbed through the industry, after having worked at a major bank in 2008, Mark switched to a private family wealth practice in 2013. By 2016 Mark brought his wealth of knowledge to The Steele Group role as a Financial Planner.
Mark holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Finance and Economics from Laurentian University. He holds a Personal Financial Planner (PFP®) designation to help ensure he has the knowledge necessary to help you with your financial planning needs. In 2020 he the Qualified Associate Financial Planner (QAFP) designation. By 2022 Mark transited his QAFP designation to the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation. Most recently at the end of 2023 he added the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) designation.
In addition to group benefit and pension clients, Mark assists individuals and families in understanding the complexities of personal finance by providing one-on-one financial advice around investments, tax planning, risk management, estate planning by creating comprehensive financial plans.
