Mark began in the financial services industry in 2006, working part time in Sault Saint Marie a credit union, prior to his graduation. Since this time he has steadily climbed though the industry, after having worked at a major bank in 2008, Mark switched to a private family wealth practice in 2013. By 2016 Mark brought his wealth of knowledge to The Steele group role as a financial planner.
Mark holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Finance and Economics from Laurentian University. He holds a Personal Financial Planner (PFP®) designation to help ensure he has the knowledge necessary to help you with your financial planning needs. In 2020 he added the Responsible Investment Specialist (RIS®) designation and the Qualified Associate Financial Planner (QAFP) designation. By 2022 Mark transited his QAFP designation to the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation.
In addition to group benefit and pension clients, Mark assists individuals and families in understanding the complexities of personal finance by providing one-on-one financial advice around investments, tax planning, risk management, estate planning by creating comprehensive financial plans.
