As a financial planner with a passion for the industry and over a decade of practical experience in the industry, Cliff helps individuals and families to understand the complexities of their personal finance. He provides one-on-one financial advice around investments, tax planning, risk management, and estate planning. Cliff also supports his clients in reaching their personal financial goals by creating comprehensive and tailored financial plans.
Cliff began his financial services career in 2008 with a university co-op placement at a single-profession pension plan in Toronto. In 2009 following his graduation, Cliff joined The Steele Group as a financial advisor and worked towards achieving his industry designation. After working in partnership with his father for 7 years, in 2016 Cliff took on responsibility for leading The Steele Group and became a majority partner at the firm.
Cliff holds a Bachelor of Mathematics degree with a major in combinatorics and optimization from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Financial Planning from Wilfrid Laurier University. He obtained his Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation in 2010 and the Responsible Investment Specialist (RIS®) designation in 2020. Most recently at the end of 2023 he added the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) designation.
